When you leave a comment on my website we collect the data shown in the comment form, and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it.

After validation of your comment, your profile picture (if there is one), will be publicly visible next to your comment.

The comments function is currently disabled.
But eventually, when it is activated, if you leave a comment on my site, you will be prompted to save your name, email address and website in cookies.
These are for your convenience only so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment.
These cookies expire after one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, a temporary cookie will be created to determine if your browser accepts cookies.
It does not contain any personal data and will be deleted automatically when you close your browser.

The lifespan of a login cookie is two days, that of a screen option cookie is one year.

Storage durations of your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely.
This allows us to automatically recognize and approve any follow-up comments instead of leaving them in the moderation queue.
For users who register on my site (if possible), I also store the personal data indicated in their account.
All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except their username). Site administrators can also see and edit that information.
The rights you have over your data
If you have an account or have left comments on the site, you can request to receive a file containing all the personal data that we have about you, including any data that you have provided to us.
You can also request the deletion of personal data concerning you.
This does not include any data stored for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
