Stones: origins, virtues and messages

The word "stone" comes from Latin Petra and ancient Greek λίθος, Lithos

Stone is a mineral material, solid, hard, from the earth's crust.

Stones, of mineral origin, are formed in the rock, under the earth's crust, over millions of years.

Gems are of organic, animal or plant origin such as pearls, corals, amber, mother-of-pearl.

From raw mineral to faceted cut, precious and semi-precious stones carry messages, symbols, virtues and energy (depending on beliefs, this approach is subjective)

Each stone corresponds to a sensitivity, an interpretation, an appropriation, a pleasure, a desire.
