Chakras and stones

The 7 chakras are “energy centers”, junction points in which vital energy circulates.

A Chakra corresponds to a main nerve center of the body, it affects the part it represents. It acts as well on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels.

The 7 chakras
They are aligned with the axis of the spinal column through which vital energy circulates from bottom to top, that is to say from the 1st chakra to the 7th chakra.

First Chakra: Root Chakra or Muladhara

The root chakra is symbolized by a 4-petal lotus, the color red and the element “Earth”.

This energy center, connected to the adrenal glands and sexual organs, is located at the perineum, but it also includes the first three vertebrae, the bladder and the colon.

The first chakra gives the strength of survival, with the strength to assert oneself. It represents our attachment to Mother Earth and its fundamental action consists in rooting in matter whose fundamental needs are essential to life: material, physical and terrestrial.

Second chakra: the sacral chakra or Swadhistana

The 2nd Root chakra is symbolized by a 6-petal lotus, its color is orange and its element is "water". The 2nd chakra is located between the pubic bone and the navel. It is connected to the kidneys, bladder and body fluids such as blood, lymph, cerebrospinal fluid, etc.

Imbalance or blockage at the level of Swarhistana can result among other things in lack of motivation, decreased libido, lack of confidence. This chakra is responsible for creativity, passion and the joy of living.

Third chakra: the Solar Plexus chakra or Manipura

This chakra is symbolized by a 10-petal lotus, its color is yellow and it is connected to the element "fire". It is located at the level of the solar plexus, 3 cm above the navel. It is connected to the liver, the gallbladder, the digestive system as well as the lower back.

This chakra is the source of personal power, determination and the ability to act. Imbalance or blockage at the Manipura chakra can mean the inability to stand out from others or an exacerbated will to always be right.

Fourth chakra: the heart chakra or Anahata

The symbol of the heart chakra is a 12-petal lotus, its element is "air" and its color is green. This chakra is located at the heart level, in the middle of the chest and ensures the connection between the body and emotions: compassion and love.

The 4th chakra is related to the functioning of the heart and blood circulation, as well as the upper back. Imbalance or blockage of this energy center explains the fear of going towards others or an excessive feeling of superiority.

Fifth Chakra: The Throat Chakra or Vishuddha

Its symbol is the 16-petal lotus, its color is blue and its element "ether" and it is located at the base of the throat. It is thus connected to the thyroid glands, as well as the larynx, vocal cords, ears, necks, etc.

This chakra is the center of expression and communication. Its imbalance or blockage explains shyness or too much talkativeness, the difficulty in being sincere.

Sixth Chakra: The Third Eye Chakra or Ajna

It is symbolized by a lotus with 2 petals subdivided into 48 petals. Its color is indigo. This chakra is located between the two eyebrows. It acts on the pituitary gland and is connected to the face, eyes, sinus and brain.

This chakra, related to the vision of reality and intuition, is the seat of higher mental forces favoring the extrasensory perceptions, intellect and also imagination. Its imbalance or blockage can manifest itself by a lack of consciousness or even by the complex of intellectual superiority.

Seventh chakra or crown chakra or Sahasrara

This chakra, which is located at the top of the skull, is symbolized by the thousand-petaled lotus. Its color is purple.

This is the chakra of enlightenment or self-realization. Imbalance or blockage of this chakra can result in systematic skepticism or existential emptiness.
